Shipping of ARANC container from Robinson to Mont Do

The truck belongs to UNITRANS, which is the company responsible for the shipping of our container, from Robinson to Mont Do heights located 115 km of Noumea at 1010m high.

Mountainside access is not really easy for a truck, the road leading to Mont Do is very narrow in places, and deeply carved by rain, this will begin from the road entrance portal, at 14 km below and continue to Mont Do mountaintop, with many steep ravines, it would be better not to fall down.
The truck finally arrived at the choosen point where ARANC Container will stand.

The container has permanently taken its place on the concrete slab, it took us a few minutes as we had to remove the isotherm box in which our VHF radio repeater (FK8ZHA-R) was still installed one week ago.
A successful operation which has caused us no any problems at all. It's wonderful ! this work was scheduled there for over a year by now, and has finally materialized. Now, we can start job for installation of radio equipment as soon as possible, the return on site is scheduled for thursday, november 22 and friday 23rd of november 2007.
The fact now is to gather a team for working in this project. You can see the pictures on what we had realized on 22nd and 23rd of november 2007, here.

2- Le Camion à 650m d'altitude vers le sommet du Mont Do

3- Toujours le camion et notre container à 900m d'altitude

4- La route très glissante avec le chrome de fer

5- Enfin encore quelques dizaines de mètres pour atteindre le point voulu

6- Altitude 1010m on va enfin pouvoir installer ce fameux container

7- Avant tout, sangler cette grosse glacière et la déposer 10m plus loin

8- Cette chambre isothermique abritait les matériel radiio du relais
;)
9- C'est qu'elle pèse son poids ce gros cube...!

10- Le chauffeur du camion prépare les chaînes du container

11- Le positionnement du container va s'effectuer assez rapidement
;)
12- La décision est prise d'orienter l'ouverture de la porte vers Nouméa
;)
13- Et voilà! 10h45 opération pose container terminée..!
;)
14- Il n'a pas fallu plus de 10 minutes pour finaliser cette opération
;)
15- Tout le monde est ravi, on y croyait plus vraiment...!

16- Quelle agilité ce chauffeur, vraiment il faut savoir tout faire!
